ME-TIME is, literally, the foundation of your health and what you need to get healthy ABOVE everything else.
You must carve out a couple of hours PER DAY of ME-TIME if you want to begin healing your body and if you want to achieve the kind of health you dream of.
Why do I need ME-TIME?
If you want to get healthy, you’ve got to have ME-TIME everyday. Period.
A lot of people want to get healthy but are unwilling to look at HOW they are living their lives.
If you are always on the go; if you are always being pulled in any and all directions doing everything for everybody else and putting yourself last, you can eat healthy and exercise until the cows come home, but health is never going to happen.
The creation of everything that you want comes from the most quiet place inside of you.
You can only create the life that you want to have during those times when you stop to feel YOU, to know YOU, to understand YOU.
ME-TIME is a habit you MUST rewire your brain for ASAP.
ME-TIME will quadruple your productivity and make you feel like a million bucks!
Before a potential client signs up for my program, I make sure to go over with them what ‘getting healthy’ really entails and ask if they are willing to make the changes necessary to make that happen.
Most people are very surprised to learn, that to actually ‘get healthy’ like they envision, they will have to learn to re-structure their daily lives into a ME-TIME routine that can actually support the new healthy life they want to have.
The coolest thing is that, when they are willing to become aware of how they are living their lives and then to change their daily routine little by little to include some amazing ME-TIME in there, they are in for a very pleasant surprise.
After only 3-months into the program they inevitably acquire a brand new enjoyable life and a body that is getting healthier every single day.
You can only do the things necessary to become healthy when you include a no-excuse ME-TIME into your daily schedule.
ME-TIME must include such things as FUN, meditation, READING, journaling, DOING NOTHING, socializing with mostly BIG-MINDS etc.
Well, in short, during that ME-TIME you are going to start creating your new healthy life from the inside out by taking the stance of ‘I AM healthy.’
‘Healthy’ has to become your identity WAY before you actually become truly healthy.
And what does a healthy person do? A healthy person does the following on a regular basis (the things you must include during your ME-TIME):
Sorry, but I have goals
and I have bills to pay.
No time for ME-TIME
I totally understand this. It is normal and expected that you would feel this way and have this reaction.
But one thing I can tell you for absolute sure: the more ME-TIME you have everyday, the more productive you will be, the healthier you will get, and the better your life will get.
Understand that being busy does not equate with being successful.
Being busy also does not equate to being productive or getting healthy.
Right now though, you can’t just jump from a life of scheduled craziness and no ME-TIME at all into a life of consistent daily ME-TIME.
You will begin with one step.
And this VERY first step MUST BE to make sure that you stick this time into your calendar.
Start with the amount of ME-TIME that you are 100% sure to be able to keep everyday. It could be 5 min, 10 min, 15 min….and incrementally go up to about 2 hours or more. (Remember, the more daily ME-TIME you have everyday, the more productive and successful you will be)
I recommend clients to start with 20 min of meditation every day, since meditation is THE foundation of everything else. But you can pick whatever resonates with you the best right now – you can use the above “When Am I Healthy?” graphic I use with my clients for some ideas.
This ME-TIME has got to be scheduled into your daily routine every single day – it has to become a part of your life and it has to become a part of who you are!
You can make healthy goals until the cows come home, and you can desire to get healthy and dream of getting healthy – but if you don’t incorporate ME-TIME to include ‘getting healthy habits’ into your DAILY life, nothing is going to happen.
We set a deadline, but not a schedule…instead of giving yourself a deadline to accomplish a particular goal by (and then feeling like a failure if you don’t achieve it), you should choose a goal that is important to you and then set a schedule to work towards it consistently.
You can actually start right now.
Go to your calendar and schedule your DAILY ME-TIME.
Then, do test ME-TIME and see how you feel:
Close your eyes and ask yourself: “What would make me sparkle right now? What would make me feel joy right now? Then, set your timer and go do it! Congratulations – you’ve begun your healthy journey.
